Mark,

I don't know if this helps or not, but if it is an older furnace, you can bet it's very old. I found this when searching.

JOHNSON, AIR-EASE: Became part of Magic Chef in 1972. Now owned by Lennox. Air Ease brand now part of Armstrong Air division of Lennox.

Blaine,

Thanks for the information. The info I had listed Air-Ease as being manufactured by Johnson and they just seemed to vanish ? now I can continue the hunt. I appreciate the info and your time.

Mark,

This is just a guess, but when I built machine tools for a living, the serial number usually gave a idea of when the piece was built. 19465 could mean: built year: 1946, unit #:5. Like I said this is only a guess.

Wow, a 57 year old furnace. I wish I was built that well icon_lol.gif icon_lol.gif

Actually, several manufactures do code the age in the serial number, like BDP, Rheem, etc. In this case, maybe something like 1/94??

That’s a date code, not a serial number.

Click on the link below to an A$HI report that mentions that model number as manufactured by Air-Ease circa. 1977. I do not know how reliable that information is but you can see for yourself.

Mark,

Preston's Guide indicates the unit was manufactured in 1977 with a BTU Input capacity of 105,000 and an estimated AFUE of 64.6% (Johnson, Model #HAS105BD2F)
