HI start up costs, concerns...

is there much difference between doing that at one job or the combination of 2? there are market areas where you couldnt give away inspections and others where a sign in the yard would get people calling.

I can’t think of what to do for that 100 plus hours to get a new business going ?
Help us out .

There’s a lot of activities you can do outside of the 9-5 workday. Send personal emails, research targets for the next day of cold calling, create flyers, networking events (how many of you go to these), research market trends, etc, even then that doesn’t seem like 100 hours of work a week, but I guess it can add up.

To start off with I think Nicks estimate of a few months of marketing to acheive a full schedule is incredulous. Maybe if you have enough money to hire reps, buy billboards and TV/radio spots…

But thats unrealistic for a startup. And it depends on the overall market (which is improving overall) and your specific locale and competition. Marketing is important but can’t overcome everything.

It sounds like you’ve got a great base to start from, but I would plan for a long haul getting a website that is in a top position to generate traffic and marketing to agents to get referrals. Neither of those is going to happen in 3 months.

Lastly, you seem to be starting off at a good point in time in regard to the market…

Tom

You misunderstood me. I didn’t say that *I *took a few months to get my inspection company a packed schedule… I said it should take you only a few months.

Roy,

You should read all the archived posts in the “Inspector Marketing” section of this forum, its exploding with information.

If someone is not a member, they should join InterNachi just to learn how to make as much money as possible in this business. All the information is right in that section of this forum, an incredible amount of proven methods to boost your income, or quadruple it.

Thanks

I have done so .
I’m just wanting Nick to state some specifics .

Roy

How many inspections a month would be a full schedule for you? I can get you there.

Roy Lewis, I went to your website to call you, but I can’t find your phone number on your website.

Nick…Try this

1st Pro Home Inspection
20747 NW 166th Place
High Springs, Florida 32643
386-454-1584

I couldn’t find it, and probably like his customers, I’m not into hide-and-seek games. www.1stproinspection.com

Also, every PIC on Roy Lewis’s inspection website, stripped of the text around it, should sell him. I don’t understand that PIC on every page on his site. It’s not selling anything. I can’t even figure out what it is.

“stripped of the text around it”

I don’t understand what you are referring to ?
And my phone number is posted on every page In large font easy to find .

Very sad… I see many web site’s that need a** BIG** tune up

Roy Lewis, I checked your website again. www.1stproinspection.com I just don’t see your phone number anywhere. Sorry.

Take all the text away from that PIC. Look at that PIC. Does that PIC, in and of itself, all alone, stripped of the text around it, by itself… sell your inspection service? Is it even clear, by looking only at the PIC, that you are a home inspector?

I can’t even figure out what it is, much less be compelled to hire you based on it. www.1stproinspection.com

I just don’t see how you could miss it ?

What do you see wrong with my site Roy ?

So you see one pic that you don’t like and the whole thing is crap ?

I checked your site again. That PIC is at the top of every page. What is the PIC of?

Here is the screen shot I see when I visit your site (attached). I simply don’t find a phone number. I checked all your other pages. No phone number.
