Yeah that’s not right. Haha. I think the contractor got lazy towards the end.
Thinking the roofer ran out of the proper ridge caps and then started substituting with regular shingles that are not holding up as well.

Many, if not all, manufacturers do not recommend 3 dimensional shingles be used as ridge caps.
