Google search results for Chicago home inspector It varies from day to day, sometimes NACHI is on page 1 other days it isn’t.

WOW
I am number one today.
Must be my constant blog updates.:)

Back to subject that is Local Chapter (not national).

Since I am number one I will be happy to give you lessons in SEO for $10,000.

Now if someone could teach me to get my reports done in under 4 hours I will trade.
Doing same building report(condo) as 2 years ago but it was 15 pages long back then and took 45 minutes.
2 reports today and taking all day.
Go figure.:frowning:

You’ve got to sign out of Google before you search or you will always show up #1. If you haven’t figured that out YET, you have a lot of learnin to do son.

You’re a busy man Bob, you need to hire a couple of inspectors for all the work you get.:stuck_out_tongue:

Opps
Thought that was a screen shot.

Your number 2:twisted:

I show Linas as #3 and Bob and #4.

Just got a call and potential client said I was number 4 under Chicago home inspectors.
63rd street if she just called you too.
Potential Water Intrusion as it is a garden conversion.

AKA Black Hat techniques which will get your site banned from Google when they catch up to you, and they will. Or, at the very least they’ll just drop your ranking to nothing.

Since most URLs are only $10 a year could you just buy one as a sacrificial site ?

When they catch up you:twisted: buy another.

A google search for “Chicago Home Inspector” produces a results page here that has NACHIChicago at the #1 slot of page 1. Most of the rest of the results page are InterNACHI members’ sites.

I googled “Chicago Home Inspector” as well…

quick screenshot for ya

I called and booked with the first guy on the list… he must be the best if he’s on the top of the list. Now I just have to find a house, although he did say he knew a couple good agents!

Ha-ha~ funny…

But seriously: My customers are earning a really good living online. yeah… not always the types of business I would choose to spend my money on, but the fact is… It’ is making money for the owners.

Do you choose what home to inspect based on its selling price? or based on the personality of the realtor listing it? Of course NOT…
So, why should I…

C’mon now… Stop using your heads to test rafters.

The Bottom line is these people are getting great results. At the end of the day customers are clicking on their sites, and earning the owners their yearly incomes.

I dropped my price to 1/2 the going rate for this service because I felt a camaraderie with you having been an inspector myself, and I wanted to make this tool available to those who would like to get more business in these tough times.

I once heard (on here) that less than 4% of home inspectors use the internet to generate business, While 90% of home owners perform their initial inspector search online. Casting a wider net will get you found many more times by local people already searching for your services.

It’s as simple as that .

If you are tired of spinning your wheels with run of the mill SEO, and want something with guaranteed results with Local Traffic already looking for a home inspector. There is help…

My team and I would be happy to create a wider a net so your business can be found.
THIS is NOT BLACK HAT… and is 100% Advanced White Hat and Approved by Google.

Again this is first come first serve, This keeps competition out of your area, so only the first Inspector will be accepted for each major geographic area.

To your success.
Matt Johnson

I am the first guy with a name.

Nick where is NACHI national? as you cant take credit for a word Press created by Will Decker.

Now try Condo:)

Matt, please show me where Google says that automatically creating articles from random text and adding them to your site is ‘Approved by Google.’ Spamdexing - Wikipedia explains pretty clearly that it’s spam.

Oh Dominique: I’m so not going to get into a pigeon contest with you… I have work to do…
Since you have more time… Show me where creating pages that are not more than 65% alike is ever considered spam… Google says in order for pages to be unique (that means not duplicate content) They must be no more than 60% alike. (Every page we create is no more than 65% so I am well under that threshold.
Besides, Despite what you think you understand… if Google thought they were duplicate content, Google would NEVER INDEX THEM.

I have been doing this for over a year successfully, and my pages and my customer pages have been staying indexed, and ranked. Why? because this is not spam. It is all unique content that is getting my customers sites found many times on the web.

Do you offer template websites with pre-written content? Those would be considered duplicate content because they are all the same… Google will Never Index those pages. You need to have unique content. Google says my pages are unique. So… I really don’t care IF YOU think they aren’t~ LOL

Home Inspectors Good luck this season. If you would like to be seen many, many more times in local searchers for home inspections, Then please call me.

I am sure Dominic is very good at what he does, but he is not the expert. This is what I do full time.

Respectfully,
Matt Johnson

Jeeze, I hope not. We add 10-20 new pages to www.nachi.org every hour.:smiley:

Actually Matt, I’ve been teaching SEO for over 10 years. I’ve done half a dozen 8 hour talks and another half dozen 2 hour talks so far this year alone with many more planned. The next one is in Vegas Oct 10th at the COA/CREIA Inspection Conference, you might want to come.

No, our websites are filled with “PUT YOUR OWN QUALIFICATIONS HERE”, we don’t pre-load any text unlike other web hosts for this exact reason. The only thing even close is 2 paragraphs on the home page to give guys an idea of what the system can do.

Yes, Google will index you, and eventually will ban you. If you’d like I can submit a spam notification on your site to Google and we can see how long it lasts (might take a month or two as Google is slow).

I’ve already given you a link, but let me give you some more.

One of the most important steps in improving your site’s ranking in Google search results is to ensure that it contains plenty of rich information that includes relevant keywords, used appropriately, that indicate the subject matter of your content.

However, some webmasters attempt to improve their page’s ranking and attract visitors by creating pages with many words but little or no authentic content. Google will take action against domains that try to rank more highly by just showing scraped or other auto-generated pages that don’t add any value to users. Examples include:

Auto-generated content: Content generated programatically. Often this will consist of random paragraphs of text that make no sense to the reader but that may contain search keywords.

Pages Yahoo! Wants Included in the Index:
Original and unique content of genuine value.
Pages designed primarily for humans, with search engine considerations a secondary concern.

What Yahoo! Considers Unwanted:
Some, but not all, examples of the types of content that Yahoo! does not want include:
Multiple sites or pages offering substantially the same content.
Sites with numerous, unnecessary virtual hostnames.
Pages produced in great quantities, which have been automatically generated or which are of little value (cookie cutter pages). (Note, this would be your sites).

This involves rewriting existing articles, as opposed to merely scraping content from other sites, in order to avoid penalties imposed by search engines for duplicate content. This process is undertaken by hired writers or automated using a thesaurus database or a neural network.

Please Matt, explain how your system is doing something different than what the search engines above are talking about. I’m always interested in learning new SEO techniques.

Linas,
Sounds like Tim is canceling his inspection he ordered.
