Hi Tyrone,

If that is a full brick veneer, then it is not properly supported, nor does it appear to have any flashings.

is a full brick veneer or is it a "plant on finish"?

Regards

Gerry

It is a full brick veneer. The projection is approximately 1 5/8".

The brick is 3 3/8" wide.

What is the Building code state in the US for brick veneer?

Cavity wall or masonry veneer construction may be supported on an 8-inch (203 mm) foundation wall, provided the 8-inch (203 mm) wall is corbelled with solid masonry to the width of the wall system above. The total horizontal projection of the corbel shall not exceed 2 inches (51 mm) with individual corbels projecting not more than one-third the thickness of the unit or one-half the height of the unit. The top course of all corbels shall be a header course.

Tyrone; Hope your are fine.

Could have fooled me with this little pic. Hard to see the whole picture.
All I could see is the snow on the ground, ice at the bottom of the downspout, and an open underdrain cleanout that it is dumping into.
From the picture I see, it is hard to tell if that is a brick, and what the hell is the cloth fabric hanging down from underneath what I know now as a brick veneer? Hopefully, that is not the flashing!

Brick veneer could corble out 1" with no problem on support.

A screen at the down-spout will prevent debris from possibly clogging the drainage system, as well.

I can see a significant separation of the soil/backfill from the foundation just behind the down spout. That would have got me wondering as we have had lots of rain lately and the ground should not be coming away from the foundation like that.

Looks like the foundation wall ( Top Side view) is slope into the home at this corner.
