Identify this..

From yesterday’s inspection…

Found this schrader valve located in the basement of my inspection yesterday. It is located at the rear of a wood stove which was installed approximately 3 years ago. The dwelling did utilize hydronic heating in portions of the basement space and was fitted with an expansion tank. It appears as if the convector loop was cut when installing the stove, however the finshed nature of the basement space didn’t allow much investigation. Any thoughts? I’m wondering if this valve is actually being used to bleed air.

Quite possible it was used to tie in the wood stove to the Hydronic system. Im considering something along those lines now. At some point they capped the lines?
