Individual making changes to my Wind Mitigation Report

I have reason to believe that someone (not a licensed home inspector) has been making changes to my signed/final Wind Mitigation Reports & 4 Point Reports and then re-emailing to the client. When this person makes these changes they destroy the previous version of the report/s in the software system. This is being done without my knowledge.
What can be done ? Isn’t this illegal?

The WindMit is a state form. Sounds like insurance fraud.
Do you have the originals in your possession?

How are they accessing your reports and your reporting system? Do you work for a multi-inspector firm?

No I do not. The individual that made the changes destroyed the original in the software reporting system.
Thank you for your reply.

It appears they are using someone else’s login credentials. It is unknown whether or not that person is aware of what’s happening.

None of this make any sense to me.

If it’s your files, who is accessing them?

Create PDF flat files of your insurance reports (print them to a PDF print driver) and they are harder to modify.

Report them, as someone would have to be off the deep end to purposefully & fraudulently submit/edit an insurance report in Florida, the OIR doesn’t take that lightly.

You need to get with Hank and Mary about this and let them know so that it can be taken care of. I know them and they would not want this going on.

As Marc intimated you should be maintaining your own copy of any report you generate! Now you have no copy to display what you actually wrote and may or may not be able to prove it was altered. As it stands you wrote the report that was issued.

As for what to do Marc also pointed out it is fraud and by such also intimated that you report it to the State agency responsible for overseeing this.

Everything is done through company owned proprietary software that they control. Creating a PDF is not part of the process. I understand what you’re saying, though.

Will do. Thank you

Thank you for your comment.

Screenshot it.
Take a picture with your phone.
Print it out.

Whatever. But it sounds like there is some company QC/review process and they are cleaning up the reports to pass.

Thank you.
