Hi guys I saw some older posts on this. I thought I would share. I was able to sign up for 1 year for $1 with home gauge for internachi members. I’m still in the process of setting everything up and testing it out. It seems easy to use so far. Anyone else try this software?
I’ve used Web Writer since day one when it was moved from Home Hub Zone to Home Gauge. Also used it in its previous form as Home Hub Zone. I haven’t found anything better for my needs and preferences. If you like it, before your one year subscription runs out, keep an eye out for Black Friday renewal deals.
BTW, I believe Kenton Shepard’s narration library is available for purchase in order to populate the WW narrations. It would be a good jump start on your narrations.
That’s good to hear. I’m still getting it set up.
I may start a new thread with this. My biggest struggle starting out with software was I found a lot to be clunky, expensive, or hard to use. It’s hard to justify 100 a month when you’re working towards doing more inspections and you start out doing 1-3 a month. While you’re trying to figure out how to use the software.
Yes, but your report is your product! You want your report to be the best, better than your competition. You get referrals from the report that you produce, starting with your first inspection. You also want to be able to take pictures and assign them to your findings efficiently (time saved is money in your pocket). I’m a small, part time inspector in a very rural area. I can justify the $712 Black Friday annual software fee at this level of business. Include the cost of your software subscription into your “per inspection overhead”. In the meantime, keep another income flow active as you build your business.
Use the NACHI Fee Calculator for pricing so you quote your work in a consistent manner. When you’re busy, use the “I’m busy” option and see how the market reacts. Adjust your base price up if market reaction is good. You’re in this business to make the best income possible. If you lose a job now and then, it should be viewed as no big deal.
