Can anyone help with the identification of this type of insulation? Home was built in '74 and is located in southeast. Thanks.

Looks like rock wool to me.

Looks like blown cellulose to me. I hate inspecting an attic with that stuff. Kicks up a cloud and makes a big mess.

80% of the attics around hare have this or similar.

Hey I try to tip toe in the stuff but it’s impossible not to kick up a storm.
