Got to have some place for the wasps to live too.

Nice of the architect to give them the perfect place to set up housekeeping.

Plus the fact it looks like poo. ![icon_rolleyes.gif](upload://iqxt7ABYC2TEBomNkCmZARIrQr6.gif)

John, you mean they built it as they designed it? First I hear of that. Ha.Ha.

I guess the Architect was not to good in picking out a modular brick and a window to match, was he. If elevation would have been coordinated the soldier course under the overhang would have continued over the top of those side units.
It appears looking at the 1" sliver of brick at the top of the window, that It might have been mis-coordinated by someone.

What is that dark spot that looks like a hole? Is that for real?
If the frieze board wasn't there it might not look as bad, but I guess it would not hide the top of the soldier course.

Can't believe this is a new home.

I particularly like the vertical panel in the gutter. At least that is what it appears to be. I suppose Richmond, Texas, doesn’t get snow but lots of heavy rain??

Robert;

Last time I was in Texas to visit my son at Fort Hood, a couple of years ago, I can relate to the vertical shield.

One thing I just noticed on Johns pictures is that the 1st and 2nd pictures match, but the third does not.

John is this a different dormer?The vertical splash guard is on the left on that one.

I think you may be referring to an electrical outlet at the soffit, it has an outdoor plastic cover it (like it needs it there, right?)

Yes, that third picture is the window on the right side of the structure, the first and second pictures are the window at the left side.

I would be ashamed of myself if i built that… I would have put in an RFI to understand why the architect would design that…

It actually was built quite good and according to the design. The design leaves alot to be desired however.

RFI= Request for Information.

Some Contractors don't know what these three letters mean, so in everyone's interest I believe one would say that they go ahead and build it as they see fit, and then wait for the R.E.P.A.I.R= Request exempt per authorized intended redesign.

ha. ha.
