Am I correct, that the motor for a jacuzzi tub should have a bonding wire connected to it?

I believe that would be correct. Though I can’t quote chapter and verse at the moment, after working in the hot tub and swimming pool industry for a number of years, it is my understanding that pumps, motors, electrical equipment, etc., associated with water, need to be bonded.

The short answer is any pool/spa pump that isn’t listed and labelled as double insulated requires an 8ga copper to the bonding grid, also picking up all the concrete and any metal the size of the palm of your hand or larger within 5’ from the water.

All pumps and equipment require an equipment grounding conductor back to the grounding bus in the panel.
