Keep Hip discount or not?

Hip all around except for the little 11x11 ‘Notch’ in back …keep Hip roof status in FL ? …
242 Total Linear feet …Notch is 11x11x11 … no gable , just a notch cut out of the standard Hip roof…will this keep the Hip Roof discount for Wind Mit in FL ?

There are two gable features, one on each side of the “notch” IMO.

Sure, but each one is 11 feet. So 22 feet non-hip is less than 24 feet(i.e. 10% of 242 feet).

That said, the whole thing is a wind trap with that screened porch next to it, so I think it’d be up to the underwriters to figure out.

Thanks for reply …yes the notch is 11x11x11 …was not sure if all 3 sides counted …then it would be over 10% of linear feet
