A friend had a kitchen vent called out as being too close to a swamp cooler. The over the "Electric Range " hood vent through the roof. It was called out for being within 10 feet of the swamp cooler. I can’t find anything specific about that scenario. Any help / comments are appreciated.
Richard, call the AHJ and ask him why he called it out. Be kind and they are very helpful.

A swamp cooler brings outdoor air into the house. You don’t want to suck in from the vent discharge.
