Landslide???

This poll was taken amongst a room full of right winged, conservative evangelists…who were still split in favor of Obama.

Yes…a landslide.

Accept it and get on with supporting the new president.

Are you just talking through your hat or do you offer some proof?

This poll is said to be non-partisan and ran by both sides. It does however have 2-3% more Dem’s polled on average. Go figure! Most polls are around 5% more Dem’s polled with the exception of the NYT/CBS which is so tilted its scary but par for the course if you look at who is doing the polling. I have heard they poll their newsrooms in every poll. Think about it, that is at least half the people polled. To whom do you think they are voting for???

PRINCETON, NJ – Barack Obama maintains a lead over John McCain in the latest Gallup Poll Daily tracking update from Saturday through Monday; the size of the lead varies between seven and 10 percentage points among likely voters, depending on turnout assumptions.

Stop worrying Chris and take comfort in that poll.

Bottom line: anyone can tell a poll taker anything.

Wanna know who is going to win? Who are the voters contributing campaign funds to?

I understand a record was set last month by one of the candidates of $150 million dollars by the same candidate who had set the previous record of $69 million raised in one month.

His voters are certainly committed and can be expected to put their votes where their money is.

The rest…just like this message board…is just talk (…and the talk favors him as well, by the way).

Really?

LOL

Anything a bit more objective and scientific than the thoughts of a group of underworked home inspectors making anonymous predictions, Mike?

Ooops…get out of the way. There is a fat lady getting ready to sing…

James, Do me a favor and own the words you say.

Like this…?

The VPILF goes out just as stupid as she came in.

The VP does NOT run the senate, as most fifth graders know…

James, you have become dishonest in your postings. It’s really too bad.

Dishonest?

Yes, without any doubt.

You have gone far beyond the usual spin.

Spin?

Not playing today James.

Go write some swill to someone else.

Obama is leading in double digits in almost every poll…McCain is calling himself “the underdog” and admits he is trailing. The gap is widening and yesterday, NBC announced that its survey showed Sarah Palin doing McCain more harm than the economy among those polled.

McCain is on Imus saying he is “amazed” that his fellow Republicans…not the total voting public, but his fellow Republicans…are down on his VP pick.

And more Independents are identifying with Obama’s platform than McCain’s.

What Spin? What Dishonesty?

It is comical and sad, at the same time, watching the Republican Party collapse while it loses the White House and even more seats in the Congress.

Go back and read #7,8,9 and 10.

Yes you are dishonest.

If the presidential election were held today McCain would win a landslide victory over… Ralph Nader.

Says who? :stuck_out_tongue:

Palin takes heat for saying VP ‘in charge’ of the Senate

"[T]hey’re in charge of the U.S. Senate so if they want to they can really get in there with the senators and make a lot of good policy changes  that will make life better for Brandon and his family and his classroom," she said.

The comments have drawn criticism from Democrats and liberal blogs which note the actual role of the vice president when it comes to the Senate is simply to cast a tie-breaking vote in the event of a stalemate.

According to Article I of the U.S. Constitution, the vice president is the “President” of the Senate, but has no executive position when it comes to presiding over the chamber.
