Let's KILL the CL200 myth right now...:)

Ahh…I remember you saying something about a Prison inspection that almost got you tied up in a mess…lol…quick inspection on that one huh?

Where do you find so many 400A Zinsco’s?

I think CA was the testing grounds for “everything Zinsco”. . .

Just for general information, the ANSI spec on class 200 meters permits:

Absolute Maximum Range:
Line-Line Voltage 300 VAC
Current Withstanding (each line) 220A Continuous, 500A peak for 1 Second

Thanks SIR. Pope…Now I dont need to post an image on that…

Wasn’t trying to be funny Paul, I just didn’t understand.

I was taught to determine the size of the meter and the can because they are a part of the sizing.

trouble is that they didn’t teach us how to tell what the rating of the meter or the can is.

The only info I have on cans is from Gerry’s electrical course. I have no info on meters.

I know this is basic knowledge for you because you use it every day. I’m still trying to understand it.

Gotcha Wes…just use the method in the video and you will be fine. Remember while the meter itself can AID in confirmation of the other materialm it in itself is NOT a good indicator.

Use the other major factors and you should be fine.

Thanks Paul. The video was informative. Now it all makes more sence.

I was just confused since we really cant rate the meter or the can.
