I’m working on a new design for the main NACHI site which will hopefully be simpler to use, and easier to read (no white on blue anymore). Within a few weeks I’ll post a link to a beta site where everyone can test it out and tell me what they think, but until then I’m just wondering if there’s anything people would really like to see changed? The new site will be built with features that allow authorized NACHI staff to add items without going through me, which means that things might show up slightly quicker, and pages like the FAQ will be within the site’s design (currently Nick is maintaining the FAQ on another site via FrontPage, much to my chagrin).
So give me some ideas. I?m mainly talking about design, but if there are actual features that you?d like to suggest, or sections that you feel are missing, I?d like to at least hear about them.
Oh, by the way, the new site will support full-text searches. Very nice ![icon_smile.gif](upload://b6iczyK1ETUUqRUc4PAkX83GF2O.gif)

Hey Chris,
While not really a bug, I think an improvement would be to add the page list to the top of the page when the post gets so large it has multiple pages. What do you think?

Chris, Is it possible for members to be able to insert photos in their messages? I asked on another site and the webmaster included the option. It’s great for showing inspector’s actual inspection problems and much easier than trying to describe some issues. Just curious! Thanks, Bob Wills

What about that beta format? I liked it better. This is a nice website but the beta format would look more professional. Hey Chris, by the way,… how much for a simple website for an inspector? What are the costs involved?

I think I’m going to be re-designing the new design – I’ve thought of new features that don’t fit into the format I’ve suggested, and hopefully I’ll find/create a good image that isn’t copyrighted
As for a personal webpage -- it could cost from under $100 setup + monthly/yearly hosting fees, to several hundred for a site with more advanced features (online reports, fully editable w/o any html knowledge, et cetera), to thousands if we're talking spectacular ![icon_smile.gif](upload://b6iczyK1ETUUqRUc4PAkX83GF2O.gif)
