Michigan Pricing & Marketing Advice - New Inspector Seeking Realtor Connections

Hi everyone,

I’m a new home inspector based in Southwest Michigan and just getting my business, Cross Check Home Inspections, up and running. I’m trying to determine a solid, competitive price range to charge for standard home inspections in my area.

I’d love to hear what others are charging in Michigan (or similar markets) and what price range you feel works best without undervaluing your service.

I’m also looking for ideas to attract realtors or build those relationships more effectively. Any successful tips, tools, or approaches that worked for you would be incredibly helpful.

SW Minnesota… Starting Fee: $595+

I live between Cincinnati and Dayton and cover both markets. They are like night and day when it comes to the average cost in each market.

I would call some local home inspection companies in your market incognito mode to get a general idea of what the average cost of a home inspection is in your area.
