Can you please send this email to Florida and Georgia one more time.

Hello NACHI members of Florida,

I have arranged for Professional Labs to teach a full one day course August 27th. Saturday (8am to 5pm ) on Mold at the Embassy Suites Jacksonville located at 9300 Baymeadows Rd., Jacksonville, Florida. 904-731-3555

This course will give you the designation of CMI(certified mold inspector)issued by Enviromental Solutions.

I do not know how this will hold up if they pass a mold bill next year(I understand that is a big if) but in the meantime you will have this designation and have the ability and education to do mold inspections.

The cost will be $45.00 and include a nice buffet lunch with drinks.(I had to add $10.00 to the cost because the Holiday Inn which is cheaper is booked, so we had to use Embassy Suites which is more expensive).

I have reserved a room for 50 people. I need immediate response by next week so Pro Labs can arrange for the instructor to come in and I will need a check no later than August 1st. If we get an overwhelming response I can arrange for a larger room but I need to know immediatley.

Make the check out to Steve Kallao and mail to 552 Dutton Island Rd. W, Atlantic Beach, Fl. 32233. Be sure to put your name and phone # on the check in case it has to be returned.

Thanks
Steve Kallao

Yes it is.

Steve is the chapter president for the Jacksonville area. You must remember that many of us do not have the talent that Harvey does. Some of our announcements are rather plain Jane. I think that he is collecting the payment in advance so that he does not have to cover it out of his own pocket if people that RSVP don't show up.

Ensure that an actual certification will be issued by ESA for attending the class. There should be no hitches, like being required to ESA prior to receiving your certification from them.

I had to clear this snag up the last time, contacting ProLabs, and having them getting ESA to waive the requirements for Convention attendees.

It was ESA's policy, I believe, that one must join ESA, and pay an annual fee, to receive their certification.

Someone should check into this prior to signing up.

Joe is correct. I had someone attend the class at the convention. After ESA would not send the certificate unless you joined ESA. I know that someone at NACHI took care of it because the certificate showed up a couple of months later.

Thank you Joe F if it was you that cleared that up after the convention.

Send Steve an e-mail and ask him to make sure that you don't have to join ESA.

Good catch Joe.
