Mousepads. YES!!

All,

I just wanted to relay my recent experience with the NACHI mousepad.

I just started requesting them for Realtors about 6 weeks ago. I understand a new shipment just arrived a couple of weeks ago and were shipped. I requested them for each agent who had called me for an inspection, and a couple of brokers. At that point, I think the total requested was about 25 to 30.

In the last week, I have gotten 9 calls from Realtors to thank me for having the mouse pad sent to them. Two of the calls resulted in bookings!!! They LOVE them!!!!

My wife was in an office marketing on Thursday, and an agent walked up to her and asked how she can get a mouse pad. My wife just said, call us for your next inspection. The agent replied "you'll get my next one".

The pad is just a piece of the marketing, but it is a unique gift. One Realtor told me she had never seen one like it.

Thank you Nick and NACHI for providing such an excellent ice breaker, marketing piece, useful item, and appreciated gift by the people so important to the home inspectors overall success.

I’m glad its working.

The mouse pad is designed to promote NACHI member's businesses, not NACHI. The mouse pad has a link to www.FindAnInspector.us on it, not one to NACHI.

The mistake I made was having NACHI's phone number on the letter that accompanied the gift. I've received hundreds and hundreds of calls from agents asking questions about what they should look for in a home inspector and asking for more information about NACHI. Texas agents were especially excited about our certified members.

Next time, instead of NACHI's phone number in the accompanying letter, we'll use a link to a separate custom site similar to http://www.nachi.org/blind.htm to offer agents more information.

The link on the actual mouse pad itself will remain www.FindAnInspector.us

Hey Nick did you get the list of Realtors addresses that I sent you? I used a different E-mail address than NACHI has listed. I’ve got good response from the Realtors using the NACHI logo on my brochures but haven’t got many leads from my online listing. I have a lot more addresses I could send how many is to many? I belive that the pads will be received well in this area we all like FREE stuff. I’ve watched the table of goodies at the MLS listing meetings disappear within 15 minutes of the door opening.

Thanks for the reply Gary. I tend to get a little impatient waiting for people to respond but realize how busy Nick and the NACHI Staff must be. I want to make NACHI the most recognized name for professional Inspectors in this market area. I know that the pads don’t advertise the link to NACHI. But that’s where findainspector.com takes them and if I can get the Realtors their Brokers or Clients to the site it just means more exposer for my inspection service and NACHI.

Watch out with that .com stuff. NACHI’s search is FindAnInspector.US.

is a totally different site. If you are telling people to go to this particular site…they will not locate the intended Home Inspectors.

See for yourself....

.COM takes you to the AHIT inspector search page. I looked up AHIT in google and came up with American Home Inspecors Training Institute. On the right side of the google page is…findaninspector.US link…Right on top, gosh I sure love the internet and all its links to NACHI members. icon_wink.gif

icon_redface.gif Good thing I haven’t printed up any thing with that wrong address on it. That would make for some bad advertising
