I'm aware that NACHI.org is high on Google, but the web site ( www.inspectorlocator.com ) is new and will take time before we start seeing it in top positions.

Russel,
Your zip code is 83814 which is listed as "Coeur D Alene, ID" in our database (and on USPS). There are 5 NACHI members total who are in Coeur D Alene, and of those 5, your account has seen much more action than the others. That's why you're on the bottom right now. Once the other members catch up, you'll show up near the top again.

I just got off the phone with Chris Morrell and we'll have a new feature up soon which will allow members to pick the center of market gravity (where they work and where they want to work).
Searches will be biased toward a member's center of market gravity as opposed to where they sleep at night.

and track traffic volume. Much of our time has been gobbled up with Realmatcher and we are on course for taking over the entire North American multiple listing service (looks like Congress has been helping us) by May after which it really will be Planet NACHI.

I shouldn’t leave anyone with the impression that RealMatcher is all we’re working on. One project we are involved with auto imbeds a NACHI member’s name and contact information (sort of like an online mail merge) into various consumer related articles. This way, when a consumer lands on a NACHI article of interest through NACHI member John Smith of ABC Inspection’s website, the articles on NACHI’s site become customized for John Smith. For example… instead of the article saying “a home inspector can bla bla bla” the article will read “John Smith of ABC Inspections can bla bla bla.” If the NACHI article is landed on via NACHI member Bob Jones of XYZ Inspections the SAME article will be customized to read “Bob Jones of XYZ Inspections can bla bla bla.” It is going to change the internet as we know it.
Another project we are working on is our 15 billion web page project (up from the mere 621,355,764 we have now). This project will require auto site building which in turn requires auto matching of PICS. We have already begun doing this for State sites (even cyberspace chapters we don't yet have) which will include State specific consumer information and of course contact information for every NACHI member in those States, but as I was saying... the PICs are geographically auto drawn from a gallery we have built. Either they are PICs of the area or PICs of the State tree or PICS of the State flower or PICs of famous State Landmarks, etc. We built a royalty free gallery of such PICs for our use. Here is a link for you to go through for fun. Each State has many PICs so you will see your own State come up with different PICs if you refresh long enough. Hit your own browser's refresh button over and over to go through them:

The problem Russell and John are having is that their address zip code (where they sleep at night) is fairly far away from their center of market gravity.

That will help for those of us that prefer to live away from the crowds.

amazing!
OK- I've figured out where my hits are coming from (I know they are not from jobs!). I get a lot of calls from inspectors & aspiring inspectors, asking how the market is here, can they do ride- alongs, what should they do to become a HI, etc.
Others may be from agents, checking me out, as I push the NACHI awareness in this area (we have at least 5x as meny members as A$hi).
I know where each job comes from, and none of my ID jobs have been from NACHI.
I'm certainly not complaining- was it PT Barnum who said, "say what you want about me, just spell my name right!" ?
When I sent you that article from the NAR, Nick, it was because of the pressure in Washington (& Valley Forge, & Boulder) that they were feeling. Your above post verifies that!
Keep up the great support - it's all truly amazing. Thanks!
Russ

I hope the "center of gravity" thing gets going soon.
I live in a rural area miles from several larger communities. I like to say I am centrally located to nothing. but that is the problem, I don't show up in any of my service areas.
