Hutch,
I don't think you can download the whole thing at once. You would have to download each picture individually. After you open the picture, right click on it and choose "save picture as". Then save it to your computer.

These illustrations are a license protected item. I would be very careful with using them without a license. I would bet that the owner is going to make an example out of someone that is doing this. Go ahead and spend the few hundred dollars and buy the cd and book. If you are caught using them without a license agreement I bet it will cost you more than a few hundred dollars.

Paul,
They actually asked you to pay for just having them on your PC?
I have a couple problems with that.
1. They are here on the NACHI website with no disclaimers or fees. I would think they would be after NACHI for posting it without authorization.
Since they haven't been, I would think that falls under "Fair use".
Lawyers LOVE to argue about things like "Well, you were aware they were available for download and you never enforced your copyright before, so you yourselves set the precedent"
2. How would they ever KNOW you had them on your PC in the first place?
I have a textbook from my HI training that is filled with their drawings.
They going to come after me if I scan them and put them on my PC?
I paid for the book, as long as I don't use their drawing in a commercial sense,(ie. Putting them in my reports) what legal right do they have to say what I can do with them? And NO Carson Dunlap, I do NOT have them on my PC. I prefer real photos versus best case scenario drawings!
Sounds like they used the old lawyer tactic of "Intimidate first, figure out if it's legal later."

They actual said “using” the images in the reports is a violation but went on to request that I stop using the images in any form and delete them including backup copies if any or purchase them.
I can see their point. I had though that there was some sort of lience agreement through NACHI to include usage by its members but I guess not. Anyway, it just isn't worth it.

The license allows you to use the illustrations in any presentations you use and allows you to post them to your site. I may be wrong but I belive they rewrote their license agreement after the illustrations were put here.
I bought the cd a long time ago and have the same agreement that Nick has.
If you are serious about making this your occupation then spend the money and buy it. It has paid for its self many times over the years. It is much easier to explain something with a picture that words. One item where it seems to come in handy is a cricket on a chimney. Much easier to understand with a pic than me trying to explain to them what is missing.
