It appears that this is actually a good piece of advice and every Inspector should be performing their own due diligence on any warranty they offer regardless of who it is from! An Inspector who chooses to accept any vendor’s word they are legal are taking a chance and have nothing to say when they get caught up in the middle of an issue.

Don’t get me wrong here as I do think The Buy Back Program has it’s merits, but at the same time to associate it or anything for that matter with the likes of someone as unethical as Nathan Thornberry (according to Nick Gromicko himself) stated) says a lot for the integrity some people have, well or don’t have.

Nathan gives his clients a free Buy Back Guarantee IF they use ALL his widgets. The 5 bucks he pays (if he even has to (doubt he does, but that will come out later sure enough LMAO) for the buy backs. Nick is basically is helping Nathan sell widgets to inspectors while Nate males even more bling off the inspectors that now buy a bigger bag of widgets from him.

Nathan acted honorably. He called me and explained what he wanted to do to make sure I had no objection. He didn’t have to do that and didn’t need my approval.
Let me put it this way: In the same way that InterNACHI unilaterally offers to pay for consumers’ homes, Nathan could have just unilaterally offered to pay for his users’ participation in the Buy Back program. But he went above and beyond that and made sure his offer was welcomed by me. And it is.
Some InterNACHI members are also users of Nathan’s products. Those “intersecting” members could potentially save thousands of dollars while benefiting from the competitive advantages, liability reduction, and marketing strength provided by participation in InterNACHI’s “We’ll Buy Your Home Back” program.

That is correct Nick, but the fact still remains that Nathan has nothing to do with anyone using The buy back program, he is not needed in that process. You don’t need him, nor do any inspectors to use your program.
There’s no such thing as a concierge client of his products. That’s not a thing. You just made it up.
In order or an inspector to benefit from this new cooperation between Nathan and NACHI, the inspector would not need to check for recalls, provide a warranty, enroll their clients in SewerGard, or buy anything from Nathan at all. They wouldn’t need to pay Nathan a penny. Not a single penny. I bet he doesn’t even take your CC info if you sign up.
Yet, you said an inspector would need to use all of Nathan’s widgets and that Nick was helping him sell more widgets. That’s not true because in order for an inspector to sign up for the concierge service, and receive the benefit of the buy back program, no widgets need to be bought. Not one. You could despise warranties, and hate recalls, and still participate.

The fact that you are not a state certified inspector still remains the complete truth. Also since you do offer your clients some widgets to get inspections then you do in fact release their private information in trade for or part of payment for the widgets you give to them in hopes that the widgets will help sell you to them.
Even Nick has stated all Lead Brokers rely on client data to survive and make their bling, You are a client data supplier whether you believe it or not.
