Needing to replace a Gas Detector

I’m looking for a consistently reliable natural gas detector. Would also consider combination…Any suggestions?

What kind of gas?

After my last gas detector died a few weeks ago I’ve been using this gas detector for natural gas or LP.

no such thing, have a backup if necessary. They all work, but not all work the same way. I use UEI CD200. The reason is response and recovery time. Also you can change the sensor, yourself. The cheaper models are often slower. If you find one that is faster and less $$$, let me know

Hi. Primarily natural gas but I’m open to combination.

Best natural gas detector is your nose. For pinpointing leaks a spray bottle with soapy water. Most of the electronics are subject to false positives.

Yes, my combustible gas detector only comes out of the truck if I smell gas.

I agree if I smell gas I report a possible leak. Don’t need a detector.
