Gotcha. Feel free to give me a ring anytime. Hope the new insurance carrier works out for you!

Inspector Pro Insurance incentivizes you to use their in-house inspection agreement. They offer a credit against the deductible. But, it’s not an actual requirement. I’ve used my own customer agreement for 20+ years. However, I’m finally making a switch to their agreement this year for a variety of reasons.

Just another thought. I used OREP in the past. I see they now offer a more robust insurance coverage for commercial inspections. I have not did a deep dive into OREP’s commercial coverage yet, or compared it to Inspector Pro’s coverage. If I get a slowdown and some time, I’ll compare the 2 and report back in the forum.

OREP and Inspector Pro are the top 2 home inspection insurance companies that offer fairly decent coverage for commercial inspections and IMO are your best options. Other home inspection industry insurance carriers really handicap your ability to have coverage for commercial properties. There are other insurance companies such as Hartford for example that offer home/commercial inspection coverage. But you will not get the concierge service or pre-claim service that the insurance carriers in the home inspection industry have built up.

There’s an even deeper dive once you get into line-item coverage and limits for commercial. I wish these home inspection insurance companies offered some other options and higher limits.
