Dana… from one NACHI newbie to another: you’re far braver than I. It took me almost a year of reading these posts to get up the nerve to say anything at all; and finally a couple of weeks ago at Inspection Expo 2007, I realized a lot of people know a lot more than I do, but I know a lot more about what I do than most of them. And, it really doesn’t matter what people think as long as we do the best we can at what we do. Lots of good answers here too. There are some genuine experts that hang-out here.
Thanks Harry for the support. I guess I’m a little defensive to. In the housing industry I have run across a lot of people who tried to run me off(not that that fellow did) and I’ve had to be tough. So I’m not gonna back down. If I can help someone…I will try. But I know that there are folks on here with tons of knowledge. I’m sure I will need their help many times before it is all over. Thank you again for being a friend.
Whoever left me the red box on this post, with the comment “leave me alone”, would you please tell me who you are (so I can leave you alone), as well as what I did to offend you? I’m a little confused.
How does one leave a red box and what is it all about? :?:
Only members can leave a red or green .
Those who help all get greens .
Those who are jealous or violently disagree give reds .
Those who have courtesy and give a red always sign .
Cowards give reds and do not sign .
I have given reds but always sign when I do to let the person Know who gave them a red …
This is the type of post the cowards give out reds so it will be interesting to see what happens. .
Unfortunately you being a non member miss seeing part of the Board.

Not that I would care to leave any “reds” but I would become a member but I am not an HI, I am a retired HVAC, plumbing, heating and electrical repair/installation tech.
I did do home inspections but only the plumbing, heating and cooling part since that is all I was qualified to do.
I got tired of getting caught in the middle between the sellers and the buyers and dealing with realestate agents that didn’t want anything reported and just quit doing them about 15 years ago.
I enjoy reading this stuff, especially the replies from people like Paul, Jeff, Speedy and all the other people that have such a vast knowledge.
One thing that I learned here is the difference in how codes are enforced in different regions of the country.
For instance we never see traps on A/C condensate drains around here but it seems they are prevalent everywhere else.
I’ve learned a lot from this site and come to realize how much Electrical stuff we’ve done wrong in the past 40 years.
My son now runs the company but I pass things along to him from time to time.

Christopher I am very sorry about the red square someone gave you…Its really stupid…I would have figured it out anyway because I’m pretty computer literate. I don’t know why people have to be so mean. Sorry I caused you problems…but really God takes care of your enemies. I don’t mean to preach but the almighty knows all. :shock: 
Thanks Dana, but it was not your fault. I’m sure you would have figured it out and I really don’t mind the red star, if there was only a reason. I guess some just have nothing else to do. Regarding other comments on this post, I’m sure know one meant any harm. Some of these guys have been in this bus. for years and do know what they’re talking about and sometimes speak a little strong to get there point across and the same ones will be back to help you the next time.
