People have been requesting that the image function bee made simpler. Now when you click on the “Img” button, you can upload images to our server and automatically place the code in your post. There are still a little bugs, but I wanted to get it up as soon as possible. The main bug is that if the file is too big, you won’t get an error message, but it won’t work. I’ll try to fix this soon.

Chris: Its getting harder and harder to understand what you’re talking about. Anyway, are there some policies associated with the message board? How long dose a thread stay up when no one is posting on it? Do you kill threads that have veered off of original topic? Should we ever just clean it all up and start over with the popular topics? What do other message boards do? This is only one of two I’ve ever been on (i got kicked off the other) so I don’t know what evetually becomes of it. Can’t grow forever ??? Anyone know? Nick

Currently the threads stay up forever. Right now the board is only a tiny bit over 831 KB, and thats with about 450 posts. I figure that even with 45,000 posts, we’ll still be around 80 MB which isn’t a big deal in terms of space. Once we reach 50k, we might have to look into cutting back some of the older posts, focussing more on chit-chat than actual inspection questions (ie. I might ‘prune’ the general discussion section if need be).
In terms of killing threads: the most I would do is split it off into a new topic. For example, if someone starts a topic about wells, and then someone asks a question about radon, I might move the radon portion of the conversation into the radon forums. If anyone wants me to do that for a current topic, just private message me.
It's too hard to explain the Img thing to you Nick. Just click the little 'Img' button and see what happens.

Just a another malodorous test.
OK, This is what we needed. After I searched all over the dang post for the image button, I finally realized that, like other BB Systems, You need to be in the "Post a reply" or Post a new topic screen with the emoticons and junk to find the IMG button.
