I haven’t seen any around these parts, at least not yet.

Very interesting product with a number of different applications.

very interesting…

Reading their information, their first US-based manufacturing plant just opened in Idaho in February. Interesting. Wondering, since it is a bio product, if it will attract/retain rodents or other pests. They claim that it is mold resistant. Thinking it will be similar in price and performance to cellulose or mineral wool, but come mostly in batt form like fiberglass. Which means it may gain a niche, especially in “green” construction/renovation.

Good question about the rodents/pests.
Also, fire resistance? I mean … we know that hemp burns, right? (pass the Cheetos)
On the Tech data sheet, it says it lights up in 6.67 seconds and produces an average 5.74 (BTU/s/ft2). Is that bad? They don’t tout “fire resistance” as an advantage, so I’m guessing it might be a weak point.

Looks a lot like sound barrier insulation I’ve used before and seen in my area.
