New York

Hi All- this is for my fellow New Yorkers - I live in New York and I see the standards require us to complete 24 hours of continuation training every 2 years. My question is- does these on-line courses InterNACHI offer count? Or is there actual in-class courses I need to sign up for and take? It seems like a lot of these on-line courses InterNACHI offer don’t apply to New York, or am I reading it wrong??

Thanks for any advice!
Doug

Doug your only allowed a small percentage of online credits. I beleive the number is 10. I live in NJ. Check with your state. Also join a local chapter to get ceu’s and up to date info.

Nachi had 1 , maybe 2 courses now that NY accepts. Check the site courses, they will confirm which ones
As for credits, look for local chapter of ASHI and they usually have a 2 day seminar that has different speakers etc that hundreds attend and is full of knowledge. Plus you get about 15 credits right there for NY state. Yes you pay a fee but free breakfast and lunch and good time. And yes, ultimatrly there are those courses at colleges you can take in one night.

I know of no on line courses that NY accepts, it’s all classroom.

Thanks everyone.

Doug,

I am a NY educator here in the Hudson Valley. I have several courses available for CEUs. On-line training is not accepted in NY from any provider. It’s all classroom oriented.
