The only surprise here is that it wasn’t 9-0.

I have no issues with this. The Supreme Court is running on about a95% approval rating on their decisions so far.

And they rejected Trump’s efforts on reversing birthright citizenship. That’s two wins today.

It’s sad and amazing that something so simple had to go to the SC. Thankfully common sense prevailed.

Unlike the ruling to allow Chinese (and other) spies to drop babies here and call them citizens (but that deserves a whole thread of it’s own). If my neighbors cow jumps my fence and drops a calf is it my calf? My cow?

Horrible analogy. Citizenship is not the same as ownership.

Dave is great at at giving horrible analogies. Almost a master of the art of doing so.

Your list is contextually inaccurate. About half have conditional birthright citizenship and one, Pakistan, has FULL unconditional birthright citizenship. The rest of the list is accurate.

Look it up on Gurgle…

Globally, Approximately 33 to 35 countries offer unconditional birthright citizenship, compared to roughly 32 to 40 countries with conditional birthright citizenship, and over 120 countries that have outright no birthright citizenship at all.

I came here to say the same, but you beat me to it.

I’m looking at that list and trying to figure which one you want the US to be most like. Which one is it?

The SCOTUS gets one right.

To use a baseball analagy, they’re batting about .200 so far this year.

True. And birthright citizenship was originally for freed slaves, rightfully so.

We should change the Constitution to add clarity and common sense.

Birthing tourism is silly. Anchor babies is silly. The fact our enemies (China) can have dual citizenship is appalling.

Of course, many on the left oppose common sense because it would align with Trump. Perhaps a leftist will submit some legislation. But that’s unlikely, they are going full steam ahead towards socialism.

The thread title is not exacty true. The Supreme Court merely ruled that STATES could pass laws to prevent trans in sports of their new sex. They didn’t outlaw it. Commie California will still allow it, as will some other woke states.

Can you believe 3 judges disagree?

Holy cow. It just shows us all how elusive the truth has become, even for the brightest minds. God help us.

For only the 2nd time ever, I agree with Bob. The SC merely upheld state’s rights.
