While I’m posting pictures, I figured I would show you the oldest working water heater I’ve ever encountered on an inspection. I’m guessing its about 40 years old. It did not even have a T&P relief valve.
My oldest was from last week. It was manufactured in July 1968 and still going strong. It was in a kitchen utility closet in a 1908 house, which also happens to be the oldest house I’ve inspected. It (the water heater, not the house) did have a TPR valve, though.
Love the coffee can hood, but what’s the cool whip for?
