I think that one is 240V on the -- -- slots, and 120V on the | | slots.

Possibly Joey. After it “sniffed” hot, and noting the condition, I didn’t bother doing any further testing.
This was the hall light switch and hot "fixture".

We won't go into the badly spliced and buried KT wiring. Suffice to say that Dr. Sparky needs to make a house call.
