pacific general electrical panel

Is pacific general electrical panels concerned something that should be but in a inspection report as a safety issue and if it is not but in the report is the inspector liable in any way ?

Federal Pacific.

Federal Pacific Stablok panels have been discussed ad nauseum on these boards.
Please feel free to look over those discussions.

And in addition to what Mr. Witt stated no one will agree …
This is one of my comments …

A Federal Pacific Electric service panel was noted. There are studies that show that some FPE circuit breakers are prone to problems that can lead to failures, lack of proper protection of circuits and other serious issues, including fire and electrocution. Although the Consumer Products Safety Commission has not issued a formal product recall, the panel is old and the company is now out of business. We cannot definitively call this panel defective, but recommend contacting a licensed electrical contractor to get their opinion on this matter.

They are latent fire hazards & need to be replaced.

Oh boy - here comes the firestorm…

Are Pacific General and Federal Pacific the same thing?

I truly hope that isn’t included in your report.
No facts to prove it. Speculation at the best.

FP only .

I’ve always been disposed to this opinion.
I do understand & respect what you are saying Roy.
Also Jeff P agrees with you, who I consider to be my electrical hero!
