John,
I use a Dell Axim 5. I use 3D software. It works great.
I can manipulate the software anyway I want, colored text, logo, add or remove anything at will, including digital pics. I am very very happy with this software and 3D. and they keep improving it.
I also bought an aluminum protective cover for it. I have dropped my PDA a couple times and this cover saved it. I think it was $15 on Ebay.
If you like, click on the link below then scroll down & click on sample report to view a few pages of what my reports look like. Once you have opened the sample report, be sure to scroll down and check out the way I report a problem. in this case a plumbing leak.
When people see my report along with my inspection procedure, they are very impressed. In 5 years I am hoping word of mouth will keep me plenty busy.

Kevin - I use a tablet now but find it a bit awkward. How do you like the pocket PC. I’m thinking of using it with Inspectview. Is the pocket PC handy and easy to use with the software or is it difficult to get around and find things?

Those reports look really sharp. Are you able to leave the report with the client at the end of the inspection? Or do you have to go back to the office to produce it?

Jim,
I find it very easy to use. In my opinion the 3D pocket PC is very user freindly.
Russell,
Thanks for the compliment. I don't do onsite reports because I print them out using a laser jet printer for the highest possible quality, although you can print the report directly from the PDA to a mobile printer if you like.
