Pennsylvania compliance

I would like to know if NACHI has achieved compliance with the Pennsylvania State Regulations requiring a recognized home inspection organization to have members in at least ten states. I receive constantly conflicting information from other home inspector organizations and would like to have this question resolved.

The State of PA does not recognize associations, it merely defines a national association as having members in 10 states or more: http://www.nachi.org/memberlist/featured/all.htm

The only other association that spews lies is PHIC (an association of about 10 or 12 ASHI bozos in N.E. PA). I am pleased to say that ASHI's attorney has disavowed PHIC and claims that ASHI takes no participation in this slander. ASHI should be commended for keeping their distance from PHIC.

John,

I believe it is quite obvious by now that NACHI exists in more than 10 states. The argument that NACHI is somehow non-compliant, at this point, is almost laughable. We clearly meet any membership number requirements, with more than 3000 members. We also have a not-for-profit status.

Some States off the top of my head... Here goes:

5 chapters in NY State.
Chapter in NJ
Chapter in PA
Chapters in FLorida
Chapter in Arizona
Chapters in California
Chapter in Kentucky
Chapter in Georgia
Chapter in Indiana
Chapter in Maryland
Chapter in Massachusets

That's 11 states, and there are more. Where there are no chapters, there are plenty of members. I'm not lying when I tell you that we have members in nearly all 50 states. I havent even considered our friends in Canada. So, the requirement of a 10-state membership minimum has been surpassed for a very long time. There is no argument there. If someone is feeding you something else, they have given you false information. Check it out for yourself.

If the State requests it, I can contact the Chapter leaders of these listed chapters to sign affadavits attesting to NACHI's existence in their states. BTW... these are not empty chapters; they have many members.

Will this make this nonsense go away? Have Joe Kelly read this post. Chapter presidents can always be contacted me. Here in NY, alone, we have 5 active schapters, including Hudson Valley, Long Island, Binghamton, Finger Lakes, and Central NY. PA has a huge chapter meeting coming up on the 30th of this month in Bethlahem. You are welcome at any upcoming NACHI meeting at ant location. No dues required.

You are cordially invited...

Why the eye roll, Jeff?

Surely you know that NACHI has members in more than 10 states.

We have over 550 members in Florida at last count. We had over 40 people sign up at the Ft Lauderdale meeting earlier this month. With more contacting me and the other Florida Presidents on a daily basis.
