There has been some issues with PEX A leaks near fittings…it is thought that chlorine in the water causes pinhole leaks. An a discussion board I saw there were a lot of people who reported leaks with PEX A. It looks like plastic corrosion of some sort. I don’t think these issues affected the zurn brand PEX A however… Also PEX B is slightly stronger in tests. PEX A does have better water flow though. I think there is an adapter connection which allows a crimp ring onto PEX A, it just has an extra ridge for the PEX A side.
