PEX plumbing shut off valves for sinks, toilets or other fixtures.

I run into these a lot really it is the norm. But I am trying to decide what to make of the push/pull shut-off valves. Often times at least 50% of the time you push/pull the valve to open and close it and the PEX is pulling out and pushing into the wall. Usually to a lesser degree.

The twist type valves seem to be better. A lot of the push/pull valves take considerable pressure to move. And I wonder if this is only to get worse over time.

Interested in hearing opinions from other inspectors.

Support the pipe underneath the valve before you do anything with it.
There fine.
