Push-Pull Shutoff Valves for Sinks/Toilets

Ran across these shutoff valves on a 2022 build and thought I would share. Seems like they would work well - but, anyone know anything about their performance / reliability / issues?

Valves can be expensive. If its cheaper a builder will use it. My concern with those valves is if they leak it is behind the wall and won’t be revealed until major damage is apparent.

A dripping valve can leak a gallon a day at a mere 10 drops per minute. That adds up to a lot of water!

I think these are about the same price, but are faster/easier to install that will make them popular with builders. I agree on the connection behind the wall. I would expect soldered copper or even threaded galvanized would be more reliable over time.

Just curious, is this a clean-out they embedded?

I like Bob’s statement but not sure if it should be reported on. I lot of bad things can happen behind walls. (Shower valves etc.) Certainly not a valve I would want under my sink.

This was discussed a while back. I think the opinion was that they are crap and fail after more than one use.

Agreed. Did not report anything due to nothing to report.
