Polybutylene or Pex #2?

Looks Like Polybutylene pipe?

Until I google the standard stamped on the pipe, Conforms to ASTM F876/F877 which only refers to Pex pipe. I plan on identifying this as PEX

Thanks Larry, I agree. The only readable portion on this pipe was the ASTM standard numbers

Based upon the available information, I would classify it as “PEX-B.”

This is PEX-A pipe, it’s the only PEX that comes in clear. It is usually used with expansion fittings, but works just fine with crimp fittings also.
Pex-B Is solid in color and can’t be expanded.
There is nothing called PEX #2 pipe.

If you would have looked closer at the printing it would say in the pipe.

ICBO E8 is a reference to a section within the International Plumbing Code (IPC) related to piping, and F876 is an ASTM standard for crosslinked polyethylene (PEX) tubing.
