Apples and oranges, here, guys.
For instance, this figure that you are getting from the tax form would not include any Canadian members or other members who did not pay a fee, correct?

Ok, you're right. I will take out the 350-400 Canadian members. Yes, 3600 diffrence is much more understandable.

Nick, let it go. There are no explanations that will suffice for the bloggers. You’ve done too much already. The majority of the membership need no explanation and your enemies will never be satisfied.

Yes, let it go. Hard to answer an intelligent question around here.
Not hard to answer, but damned hard to find.
Come on James, you seem like like a decent fellow - maybe even a little intelligent. You are new to NACHI and Nick so I understand where you are coming from, I too was there defending once. But as so many find out, there are too many questions and not enough answers.
Mr. Bushart, look around you, do a little homework. Then I will respect what you have to say.

It is not that I haven’t posted 2004 or 2005, I honestly don’t have them. I don’t believe they are even done but again… I wouldn’t know that either. If they were done I probably would not be given a copy for myself anyway. There is no information of any use to me within any of them.

I know, it says they won't be available till June I think. But really Nick, 4000 members in less then two years?

You can basically figure out how many members joined each day (in the past) by comparing this message board’s MEMBERLIST (link above on the message board to the right of SEARCH and to the left of USERGROUPS) with the Featured Inspectors link in the left blue border of every page of NACHI to plot out a chart of membership growth. A quick visual scan will reveal that we are gaining several hundred members a month. Also, as a member you have access to http://www.nachi.org/nachi-stats which you can record and then check periodically to watch growth (in the future) using exact number of members joining over time.

For god’s sake Jason. There it is for you to see and you still won’t give it up. Can you not see that the possibility for growth in this association is enormous? Does it not make sense that over the past couple of years people have become disenchanted with other organizations because of all pay and no play? Do you or did you enjoy paying into an association that dictates to you what you can call yourself just because you have only done 249 inspection instead of 250 in one year so you pony up another membership fee and get to sit by while somebody tells you what you can do and say while you have no say in what goes on till you are a full member?
Myself I joined because I looked at them all and this was the only association that stood up and told me what they were going to do for me to make my business more profitable. The only other organization who is concerned for my welfare is AHIT with whom I took a course. I have no idea why you are a member but with your bellyaching and griping I would suggest it is time for you to back out, ask for your membership fee back, if you had to pay one, I for one didn’t , and shut the *(^$ up.

Join NACHI, use NACHI for what it has to offer, learn from the other members that seem to be great people for the most part, relax, have fun, or get the @#$% out. Hell, how simple can it be?

Jason, you’re like a broken record. Asked and answered. I for one don’t care if you don’t believe the answer. Seems plausible to me. Message Board numbers alone have grown 5500 since January 1, 2004. Seems to me membership numbers would be propotionate.

Your entitled to your opinion. And I don’t expect you would follow blindly. But if you don’t like what you see, why the hell do you stay? Some people complain to much about something their dislikes. Just move on if it is so bad.
I think Exxon charges way too much for gas. But I am not going to picket them. No, I go where I think my money is better spent.
