Dan, to answer your two questions:
All the educational options listed (except for the 4 coming in 2005) have been bought, built, and paid for. They are not a promise. They are already a reality in existence for some time. Members have been enjoying them for years.
Dues will go up over my dead body. You can cut and paste this for future reference (although you'll never need it). NACHI member dues will never go up. As Bush Sr. would say "read my lips" or as Clinton would say "it all depends on what your definition of never is." Honestly though... dues will not go up and they never have. We didn't need to raise dues to get all those educational options and membership dues have been $289 since 1990.

NACHI was unincorporated, very small, and regional until former Vice President and Presidential candidate Al Gore sat down one night and invented the internet. Now look at us:

Sorry Chad, I don’t read every post. Thanks for repeating.
Many organizations (even home inspection companies) operate for years without incorporating (which turns them into a legal separate entity).
Our association, NACHI, incorporated as a non-profit in the state of PA in 1998 I believe. It is still a non-profit headquartered in PA.
InterNACHI, which has been around for about 2 years incorporated as a non-profit last month in Colorado.
NACHI's Consumer Recovery Fund incorporated as a non-profit recently in Canada.
NACHI's arbitration service incorporated as a non-profit in DE a couple years back, I think, but I have nothing to do with that corporation and so can't tell you much about it.
The NACHI Foundation incorporated as a registered charity in Maryland about 2 or 3 years ago I think, but I have nothing to do with that corporation and so can't tell you much about it, but member Gary Johnson knows.
Some, but few, of the NACHI Chapters incorporated but I have nothing to do with those corporations so I can't tell you much about them.
I haven't seen Joe Myers since I retired. Have you?

NACHI members are automatically members of InterNACHI at no additional charge or dues. NACHI members can avail themselves of NACHI’s CRF. I don’t think the NACHI Foundation or Arbitration Service has membership… they are just corps set up to help NACHI members. NACHI members are not required to join their local NACHI Chapter, but I advise that they do as no NACHI Chapter charges membership dues. All free.

Do me a favor and delete some of those question marks. It causes the thread to widen to fit and so stretches out the screen. It thinks it all one word and is trying to accommodate for space.

From what I've gathered from the fine print when you become a member, I think you do, along with paying other orgs or private companys for cont ED.
I look at the fees and figure It's a small price to pay considering all you get, and Just another expense required to be successful in this business
