Generally speaking, the bulk of at least the older homes have porches and home additions with roofs that are not vented properly. But what is "properly"?
A porch roof built against the house may be properly flashed, shingled etc and then have vented soffit on porch ceiling, but nowhere for the heat to draw through/out. Often there is no ridge for a ridge vent. Any general thoughts out there? Thanks.
Maybe gable vents, roof box vents or the newer vents against the top wall would help you.

I guess I should have looked first. I didn’t know about the vented wall vents, perfect solution. Case closed, thanks.
