Practical applications

I’m starting my certification with InterNACHI. I appreciate how this program emphasizes practical, hands-on information. For those who have completed their certification here, what aspects of the program did you find most beneficial to your day to day operations as an inspector?

Welcome Michael and good luck with studies and certification. Simply put, all aspects of the program is beneficial, but stick to the core studies prior to any ancillary courses. Get your feet on the ground first, learn how to inspect and then consider adding ancillary services and take those courses at a later date once you get the basic certification.

Hope this helps some…

What he said, and also…this message board can be a world of help. I have been in business for 6 years. I have had multiple one offs that I was not sure about. There is a history stored on these message boards. I have never had to post a question. It has already been asked, and if it is a good one has a thread on here that keeps going. The best thing isnt always knowing the answer, but being able to know when you are not sure and where to look. Hope it all goes well for you.

Going to one of the NACHI schools brings the academic online instruction to hands-on application. Depending on your background and knowledge of construction, this can be critical to understanding what you are reading.
