Pete, I think everything would be about the same as natural gas except for the supply lines. We had propane heat years ago before gas came down the street and basically all we had to do to convert over besides running a gas line from the street was change a fitting in the Gas Valve, I believe it was a metering device. Yep…see them all the time here…you also should probably add a once over of the tank as well, although around here the gas compainies are good about changing them out if they are deteriorated.

Propane and NG burn at different temperatures and must be regulated accordingly.

The orifice that allows fuel to flow to the appliance is sized differently for natural gas and propane.

Other than that, the inspection procedures is the same for gas appliances as it is for propane.
