Can PVC & ABS pipe be used together as waste lines or vent pipe?

ABS and PVC cannot be directly glued together.

ABS and PVC cannot be directly glued together.

A special ABS to PVC transition cement (available at HD) exists and may be used with conditions in non pressurized piping and the as always with the approval of the local AHJ. It is not intended to be used at multiple locations. See links.
