Hi to all

Bob, if YOU did not know this one I would be very afraid. ![icon_lol.gif](upload://zEgbBCXRskkCTwEux7Bi20ZySza.gif) ![icon_lol.gif](upload://zEgbBCXRskkCTwEux7Bi20ZySza.gif) ![icon_lol.gif](upload://zEgbBCXRskkCTwEux7Bi20ZySza.gif)

In fact, thinking about it, you just bought yourself the job of explaining the correct answer, after 11:00 est tomorrow.

There that will teach you put put your head up over the parapet

Since it is past 11am I believe it is same to assume that it is ok to post the correct answer.

While the majority did rule in this case, the correct answer just happened to be wrong. The clamp is installed correctly, just so happens the wire is not.

Joe,

I was thinking the same thing and since that answer wasn’t up there, I chose the “best possible other choice”.

Hi to all,

I see your point gentlemen, but I would argue that it is the clamp that has been installed 180 degrees off ![icon_lol.gif](upload://zEgbBCXRskkCTwEux7Bi20ZySza.gif)

Gerry,

Like I said, I agree. But I could also argue that the wire has been installed 180 degrees off. Matter of fact, since the wall in this case is in the back of the picture I could also argue that both have been installed 90 degrees off. ![icon_cool.gif](upload://oPnLkqdJc33Dyf2uA3TQwRkfhwd.gif)

The conductor is supposed to be on the OTHER side of the ground rod and clamp, as far as I can tell.

Tightening bolt should apply pressure to the ground rod, and the far side of the clamp pulls into the grounding conductor, tightning it directly against the other side of the ground rod.

The tightening screw should also be seated in the groove below!

I like to see the wire on the back side, toward the wall. IMHO…it is less likely to become disconnected from someone accidentially hitting it. When using solid wire, I like to see it “hooked” over the clamp, so it can not pull out of the clamp.

But hey, what the HE** do I know. ![icon_cool.gif](upload://oPnLkqdJc33Dyf2uA3TQwRkfhwd.gif)

At least we all agree the wire is not on the correct side of the clamp, or the clamp was installed on the wrong side of the wire!
