Gerry, I’m am going to be spending a few weeks on the Cape like I do every year, I gotta track you down this year. I’ll be bringing my Daimler (right hand drive, of course) with me. A blast to drive, you’re gonna love it.

1973 Daimler Double Six. 70K miles (yeah they still used miles in the U.K. back then) I am the 2nd owner, the guy who I got it from blew up the 12 cylinder engine in ‘84, replaced it with a new LT-1 Corvette enginge. Fast as hell, I once got it up to 125 on the Jersey Turnpike and was still 2000 RMP from the redline. It the only one in the country that I know of. It looks like a Series II Jag XJ12, but without those hidious bumpers and all that other safety and fuel efficiency nonsence. Gets about 6 MPG, but seats 6 in absolute luxury. I would use it as my inspection vehicle, but it looks kinda silly with a 26’ ladder strapped to the roof

Iv'e also got a '63 TR-4 sitting in the garage. Havent taken that out in a couple of years, though. Too busy.

The volvo gets all the use now. I beat the stones out of it, but somehow it starts up every morning.

Hi Raymond,

Nice, believe it or not I just sold a 1963 TR4 to move down here, it was under restoration and I did not want to ship it, a guy from the Cape bought it to finish the restoration, as fot the Double Six, very nice I have always wanted an XJ12C of a similar era, I am actually looking for an XJ12 for my regular road car (folding ladders are wonderfull) ![icon_lol.gif](upload://zEgbBCXRskkCTwEux7Bi20ZySza.gif)

Well Greg, since I do not have a copy of the IRC yet, and can not find the info on the web. What is the answer? 3" was my guess.

That’s why I do my reports at home. It makes it harder to F up when you have all the references at your finger tips. Or, if all else fails you can always ask the wonderful folks at NACHI.

Had the damn IRC 18 inches away and STILL got it wrong. You can bet I'll remember it forever now!
