I wonder if this is what you see in California? Failed window seals might be more common in an arid climate, but what I see in my area more is leaks. We get 50 inches of rain each year. I wonder what the inspectors in the Pacific Northwest see with all the rain they get?
Condensation leads to water stains that look like leaks… Even when there’s not yet a leak…
Skylights are supposed to have a little tray that catches the drips, but sometimes the little trays either overflow or never really worked, or a weep hole clogs.
