5) The home has a two tank rainwater capture system, apparently homemade. This system was not tested.
However for the new owner: what’s important for such systems: any standing water be screened, to prevent mosquitoes or other critters from laying eggs, and that any overflow be directed away from the foundation. As this was a photo inspection, the overflow could not be inspected.

And I burned down the malt shop where we used to go. Just because it reminds me of you.

(#4 is tough. RO filters also use a carbon element like the Brita. My local tap water uses chloramine not pure chlorine so technically “no chlorine by-products”. Chloramine is deliberately left in the water to the point of delivery).

  1. D - Integral Flush Tank
  2. A - Design.
  3. False. (it is a Low pressure liquid)
  4. B - reverse Osmosis
  5. A DIY Two-barrel rain collection system was found at the corner of the home. Some areas do not allow such systems for environmental reasons, though studies show that a negligible amount or rainwater is collected from roofing. If you live in a blue state like California or Colorado, check with local regulations. There was no filter between the downspout and the tanks, so leaves and organic debris may collect in the tanks and host a vast array of contaminants such as bacteria, which make it unsafe for consumption. Use collected water only for irrigation. Clean the system periodically.
