I have never heard that. Many Masai keep them as domestics. They are beautiful. This sanctuary takes zoo born and wild animals whose mothers refuses to care for them. Then train for release. Some stay in the sanctuary. Young giraffe, zebra, elan, gazelle. A pair of 7 month old white lions from SA. At the base of Kilimanjaro.

Just got back from a walk out to the Chania Lighthouse. Windy, feels like a storm is coming.

Here’s a 360 video.

I’ve just heard that Zebras are very aggressive and will kill each other if they get pissed off.

I guess horses have been domesticated for so long it’s built into the genes. Shrug. I’ve only ever been close to one in a zoo.

As to pets, I’ve seen Africans with Hyenas as pets and I KNOW Hyenas are absolute jerks;).

Great picture, Kip! :+1:

And, I really like the chair construction technique:

So the wifey was on the back deck and noticed a hawk sitting right at the edge of the roof overhang. She grabbed her phone and said she wanted to get a pic of it. When I poked my head out to see it, it saw me a flew off. Wifey still got a good pic of it flying away.

Did a pick today at this farm place. Believe it or not, the homeowner was living in this house up until a very short time ago. Just goes to show that once you stop mowing and tending the yard, nature takes back over rather quickly!

Here’s some of the stuff we salvaged from the outbuildings…

I think I know exactly where that was!

I lived in Ohio and went to Kent State in the 80s. I am pretty sure my buddy did an event there but it was 28 years or so ago.

They also used to have this festival thing on weekends up there somewhere, we’d go for the cheap beer.

Congrats to the couple!

So I am back from Greece and and was able to work with the 360 Video I took coming up to the Imbros Gorge. I’m still trying to get the workflow correct in Adobe Premiere for 360 videos. It’s hard to get the text the right size and all.

Anyway the road was fun. It’s got some wicked switchbacks and I had my foot through the floorboard of that rental Yaris  I was hoping you could hear the engine noise, but all I could hear was wind buffeting, so I just added a soundtrack.

It’s not quite tail of the dragon, but I tell you it reminded me of that, except it’s got a much better view of the Mediterranean.

You can use your mouse while you watch it to look in any direction. At least ON youtube, not entire sure if you can in the “remote” player.

It’s the Cuyahoga Falls Amphitheater

Right along the river if I recall. They used to have like a Friday beer fest thing there. They’d close off the road from one underpass to the amphitheater and have a bunch of vendors with food and beer.

This was in the late 80s.

It’s a pretty cool area. Looks like it went well!
