Unfortunately, most members have either not found this message board, or don’t care to use it. Eventually this might change, and you can help by continuing to check and make posts.

Thanks Chris, Just trying to light a fire “so to speak” I personally use a few message boards and find them helpful and also entertaining sometimes! Anyway, thanks for replying and I’ll keep posting.

This board is a great idea. I check it almost every day for activity. As I am a new inspector, any topic is of interest to me and an opportunity to learn more.

ASHI needs all the competition it can get. If Bob is nice enough to have me for a member, I’m going to work hard to promote BITCHI. I’ll start now… I heard BITCHI has more uncoerced members than ASHI…

I have to ask this question. Why is that every ASHI member tells me that I should join ASHI? When I question them what I get for my $300+ the only thing they say is that I get to say that I am an ASHI member, and that is it! What a deal lol. Does ASHI coerce members into joining? They just seem a little fishy to me. Does ASHI pay these guys for every member that they get to join? I am just curious about this whole thing because it doesn’t make sense to me.

I think you need to change the location of the member options. It has taken me awhile to locate these benefits on you web page. Message boards are great and can be very valuable but if you can’t find them easily they don’t get used much. I would love to see some posts by seasoned inspectors to help the new guys get started.

If anyone has any doubts as to what ASHI really wants from you please be all means let me know, I would be happy to forward a letter to you which features Joseph Kelly, President of the Keystone Chapter of ASHI. Mr Kelly makes it clear what he really wants as an ASHI member and most (not all) have the same attitude.
